We think our design team are pretty “special”; their individual characteristics are what enable them to deliver fabulous designs year after year.
This year, we thought it would only be fair to give them the opportunity to introduce themselves to you - after all wouldn’t you like to meet the divas behind the design… enjoy!!
The Studio team from left to right:- Phil, Brenda, Pat, Peter and David.
With a passion for creativity….and clotted cream scones, Phil is probably the most sensitive of the team. Drawing, sketching or painting, you rarely see Phil without a pen, sketchpad, paintbrush or laptop in hand. If you need advice on how to create the perfect picture, or the best place to buy a clotted cream scone… then Phil is definitely your man!
Brenda has always loved creating and has worked for many greeting card companies. Residing in the Yorkshire Dales, she has a studio at home and loves every minute she spends in there (even if sometimes it does mean designing Christmas cards in the middle of summer!).
When not in her studio, you can find Brenda tripping the light fantastic at a dance class or running around the Yorkshire Dales as a cub leader, and sometimes, even trying out a craft gin (just for research purposes of course).
Strategic, passionate and with an eye for innovation, the newest member of our team is set to make waves. Ever since Pat was a wee nipper, he’s loved creating. Whether it be illustrations, brand development, music, cooking or making the odd homebrew. Other skills include drinking homebrew and embarrassingly knowing Michael Jackson’s ‘Bad’ album word for word.
Lovingly named “WikiPetier” by all of us here at Elle Towers, what Peter doesn’t know about cards isn’t worth knowing! He remembers when Father Christmas wore green. He was one of the original wise men, and very much still is.
With a passion for horseback riding, you can often find Peter galloping around the green green grass of Hertfordshire most evenings and weekends.
Having worked in the greeting card industry for longer than he cares to admit, over his illustrious career, David has worked with many of the UK’s well known retailers and supermarkets, developing and creating greeting card images.
For those of you who don’t know David, you will recognise him from his rather flamboyant taste in floral shirts.
